Comparison of a Telehealth-Based Intensive Treatment Program with a Rewarding App vs. On-Site Care for Youth with Obesity: A Historical Cohort Study

In 2020, we joined forces with the Sheba Sports Clinic to address a critical challenge in their teenage obesity treatment program. The primary obstacle was the teenagers’ inability to attend in-person treatments due to time constraints and geographical distance. To tackle this issue, we introduced the innovative Yuvital app, featuring a gamified platform designed specifically for teenagers. This app enables the tracking of various health metrics while incorporating a rewards marketplace tailored to their preferences.
